NFL Highlights: Saints 23 – Falcons 17

NEW ORLEANS – Sean Payton is back and the New Orleans Saints are back on top of the NFC South.

The Saints’ head coach returned from a year-long suspension to watch Drew Brees throw for 357 yards and two touchdowns in a 23-17 victory over Atlanta.

The Falcons had a chance to win it late but Matt Ryan’s pass intended for Tony Gonzalez in the end zone was intercepted by Roman Harper on fourth down.

Tom Franklin and Mark Malone called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
