SEATTLE – The Seattle Seahawks rode Marshawn Lynch and a shutdown defense to a 29-3 victory against the San Francisco 49ers in front of a raucous home crowd Sunday night. Lynch ran for 98 yards and two touchdowns while catching another one en route to three receptions for 37 yards. Russell Wilson managed the game well enough, finishing up with 142 yards and a touchdown with one interception.
On the other side of the ball, Seattle’s defense attacked Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers’ receivers, snatching three interceptions and two fumbles. The turnovers prevented San Francisco from establishing any sort of rhythm and allowed the Seahawks to set up shop in fantastic field position on more than one occasion, allowing Lynch to go to work with a short field.
Kevin Kugler and James Lofton called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
