MINNEAPOLIS – Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes to Jordy Nelson and Green Bay pounded the ball on the ground in a 44-31 over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football.
The Packers ran the ball 42 times in all for 182 yards. Eddie Lacy was the workhorse, picking up 94 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries.
The game started in record-breaking fashion for Minnesota, as Cordarelle Patterson took the opening kickoff back 109 yards for a touchdown to set a new NFL mark for longest kickoff return. Micah Hyde of the Packers also had a long return for a TD on a punt late in the first half. Hyde’s return went for 93 yards.
