LANDOVER, MD – Colin Kaepernick threw three touchdown passes and Ahmad Brooks and Aldon Smith each sacked Robert Griffin III two times as the San Francisco 49ers rolled to a 27-6 Monday Night Football win over the Washington Redskins.
Kaepernick connected twice with Anquan Boldin and added another scoring pass to Vernon Davis as San Francisco never trailed. The win improves the 49ers to 7-4 on the season.
Washington drops to 3-8 and will need a lot of luck to repeat as NFC East champions after winning the division a year ago.
Wayne Larrivee and Boomer Esiason called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
