GREEN BAY, WI – In single-digit temperatures at Lambeau Field, the Green Bay Packers got their first win in more than a month by defeating Atlanta 22-21 on Sunday afternoon.
Matt Flynn’s short touchdown pass to Andrew Quarless gave the Packers a one-point lead early in the fourth quarter and the defense was able to hold on. Atlanta did have a chance to go ahead midway through the final quarter, but Matt Bryant’s 52-yard field goal attempt fell short.
The victory improved the Packers to 6-6-1, a half-game behind Detroit for the lead in the NFC North, while the Falcons dropped to 3-10 on the season.
Dave Sims and Mark Malone called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
