CHARLOTTE, NC – Domenik Hixon’s 14-yard touchdown grab with :23 left in the fourth quarter gave Carolina a 17-13 victory over New Orleans on Sunday and vaulted the Panthers into first place in the NFC South.
Carolina has already clinched at least a Wild Card and will win the division with a victory next Sunday at Atlanta. New Orleans had taken the lead a few minutes earlier on a Drew Brees touchdown pass to Jimmy Graham, but Cam Newton drove the Panthers 65 yards on five plays in just :35 to grab the victory.
Tom McCarthy and Rod Woodson called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
