MILWAUKEE – Davante Gardner scored 26 points and Jake Thomas added 22 as Marquette kept its NCAA Tournament hopes alive with a 75-73 win over Georgetown.
Georgetown was plagued by foul trouble throughout the second half as the Golden Eagles took the lead and held on as Georgetown had a pair of chances to go ahead or tie the game late. Markel Starks led the Hoyas with 24 points.
Marquette improved to 17-11 on the season, while Georgetown dropped to 16-12.
