BALTIMORE, MD – Carl Baptiste’s go-ahead layup with just 10 seconds remaining gave Delaware a 75-74 victory over William & Mary in Monday night’s CAA championship game.
For the Blue Hens, it means a first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1999. Baptiste led all scorers with 24 points and also grabbed eight rebounds. Jarvis Threatt added 18 points and Devon Saddler had 16.
Marcus Thornton led the Tribe with 22. William & Mary led by six with 1:20 remaining but couldn’t hold on to reach the tourney for the first time in school history.
