John Calipari and Kentucky have visions of ending season where they began, at the top


SEC Kentucky Florida BasketballST. LOUIS – John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats began the season with a No. 1 ranking and one of the nation’s most highly touted recruiting classes. After a season of ups and downs, the Wildcats enter the NCAA Tournament hoping to validate that preseason ranking.

Kansas State, on the other hand, believes it has been overlooked all season. Friday, the pair of Wildcats will meet in an NCAA Second Round matchup at Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

WestwoodOne’s Kevin Kugluer caught up with Calipari ahead of the game.
