ANAHEIM, CA – 25 years ago, Steve Fisher coached the Michigan Wolverines to a national championship.
Two-and-a-half decades is a long time in any line of work, but it’s an eternity for the modern-day basketball coach.
Fisher has been the head man at San Diego State since 1999 and he’s now guided the Aztecs to the Sweet 16 twice. But if their run is going to continue in this year’s tournament, they’ll need to knock off top-seeded Arizona.
Ted Robinson caught up with Fisher ahead of the game with the Wildcats.
