National Championship Highlights: (7) Connecticut 60 – (8) Kentucky 54

Shabazz NapierARLINGTON, TX – For the second time in the past four years, the national championship is headed to Connecticut as the UCONN Huskies defeated Kentucky 60-54 Monday night to with the NCAA championship.

Shabazz Napier was named the tournament’s most outstanding player after scoring 22 points and dishing out six assists in the victory.

James Young led Kentucky with 20 points and seven rebounds.

Kevin Kugler, Bill Raftery and John Thompson called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
