This Week in the NCAA: Loyola wins men’s volleyball crown

NCAA Stanford Loyola Chicago VolleyballIt was a historic week in men’s volleyball as the Ramblers of Loyola-Chicago captured the national championship with a three-sets-to-one victory over Stanford in the final match. The Ramblers had the backing of a raucous home crowd of more than 4,000 fans on the north side of Chicago.

It’s just the second NCAA championship in the school’s history, following the men’s basketball team’s triumph in the NCAA Tournament way back in 1963.
