CWS Highlights: UC Irvine 3 – Texas 1

OMAHA, NE –  The UC Irvine Anteaters opened CWS play in Omaha with a come from behind win over the Texas Longhorns.

Texas scored first and held a 1-0 lead into the eighth inning, but the eighth was big for UCI as they racked up three runs on five hits in the inning.  Led by Taylor Sparks’ 3 for 4 hitting, including a key RBI triple, the Anteaters move into the winners bracket with the 3 – 1 win.

Kevin Kugler and John Bishop called the action from TD Ameritrade Park.
