OMAHA, NE – It took nearly 24 hours, but Virginia is through to the championship series at the College World Series with a perfect record after a 4-1 victory over Ole Miss on Saturday afternoon.
The game was suspended due to weather on Friday night, and Ole Miss took the lead early in the re-started game on Saturday. The Cavaliers answered with four unanswered runs to advance to the championship, where they’ll face either Texas or Vanderbilt.
