Lightning RodWeek 1 of the NFL season is in the books – and Week 2 is already underway after Baltimore defeated Pittsburgh on Thursday night. As the season gets into full swing, it’s time for the first installment of Lightning Rod.

Each week our Hall of Fame analyst will look around the league and give his quick takes on what’s going on. This time the spotlight is on Week 1’s most impressive team, its biggest disappointment and the player that surprised everyone with a solid performance. Rod also lets us know which game he’s most looking forward to in Week 2.
