GREEN BAY, WI – Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes, Eddie Lacy ran for a pair and Julius Peppers scored for the Green Bay defense as the Packers blew out the Minnesota Vikings 42-10 on Thursday Night Football at Lambeau Field.
The game was already 7-0 when Rodgers found Jordy Nelson on a 66-yard touchdown pass and the Packers never looked back.
Backup Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder, starting in place of the injured Teddy Bridgewater, looked overwhelmed throughout. Ponder finished 22 of 44 for 222 yards and threw a pair of interceptions. He did score Minnesota’s lone touchdown on a scramble early in the fourth quarter.
Ian Eagle and Boomer Esiason called the action on Westwood One.
