CHARLOTTE – The New Orleans Saints finally got a road win and couldn’t have come at a better time.
Drew Brees threw for 297 yards and a touchdown and scored another on a quarterback sneak, while Mark Ingram added 100 yards rushing and two more scores as the Saints improved to 1-4 away from the Superdome and 4-4 overall.
The win puts them up in the NFC South race, with Carolina dropping to 3-5-1 on the year.
Ian Eagle and Mike Mayock called the action on Westwood One.
