SANTA CLARA, CA – James Laurinaitis recovered Colin Kaepernick’s goalline fumble with :02 left in the fourth quarter as the St. Louis Rams held on for a 13-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon.
The Rams led late thanks to Greg Zuerlein’s 39-yard field goal midway through the fourth quarter, the sweated as Kaepernick led the Niners 87 yards in eight plays to get to the one-yard line with just seconds remaining.
On third down from the one, Kaepernick tried to push into the end zone for the victory, but lost the ball before crossing the plane of the goal line.
