The Arizona Cardinals got their business out of the way early this past weekend, downing St. Louis Thursday night in a battle of field goals. The Cardinals then sat back and clinched a spot in the postseason on Sunday when Dallas beat Philadelphia.
But it wasn’t all good news for the Bird Gang. Quarterback Drew Stanton, himself standing in for the injured Carson Palmer, was carted off the field with what turned out to be a Grade 2 knee sprain and he’ll be out for about a month.
In his weekly conversation with our Jim Gray, Larry talks about the ups and downs of the past week for the Cardinals, the future for backup quarterback Ryan Lindley and facing a big meeting with the Seahawks at University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday. He also talks about our very own Kurt Warner suggesting he contemplated a comeback with the Cardinals.
