GLENDALE, AZ – The Arizona Cardinals broke a two-game skid and kept control of the NFC West race with a 17-14 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon at University of Phoenix Stadium.
The Cardinals only found the end zone once – on Drew Stanton’s 26-yard touchdown pass to Jaron Brown – but it was enough on a day the defense forced two turnovers and held Kansas City to just 14 points.
Kerwynn Williams came out of nowhere to have a big day for Arizona out of the backfield, with 100 yards on his first 19 NFL carries. Williams was called up from the practice squad two days ago.
Tom McCarthy and Mark Malone called the action on Westwood One.
