KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City did its part but it wasn’t enough as the Chiefs missed the postseason despite a 19-7 victory over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday afternoon.
The Chiefs were eliminated from a chance at a Wild Card spot when Baltimore defeated Cleveland. San Diego, which would’ve been in with a win, will also be watching the playoffs from home.
The Kansas City defense forced three turnovers and turned Philip Rivers and the Charger offense away time and time again.
Justin Houston had four sacks to take his league-leading total to 22 on the year – one shy of Michael Strahan’s NFL record.
Kevin Lee and Rod Woodson called the action on Westwood One.
