NEW YORK, NY – Duke rallied from a big second-half deficit to defeat St. John’s 77-68 on Sunday at Madison Square Garden to earn head coach Mike Krzyzewski his 1,000th career win.
Coach K is the first Division I men’s coach to reach that milestone.
Tyus Jones had 22 points and six assists to lead the way. Jahlil Okafor added 17 points and 10 rebounds.
St. John’s had led by as many as 10 points with less than nine minutes remaining in the game, but the Blue Devils erased the deficit as part of a 12-1 run
