Louisville, Gonzaga Look to Avoid Upsets Out West

Site Preview SeattleSEATTLE, WA – A pair of tournament veterans are looking to show off their pedigree as Louisville and Gonzaga enter the tournament on Friday, facing off against UC Irvine and North Dakota State, respectively. The North Dakota State Bison upset Oklahoma last year, but beyond that have little history to learn from in the tournament. Gonzaga is a regular invitee, but will be trying to make it to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2009.

In other action, Iowa and the Northern Iowa will be looking to do their state right after Iowa State was upset on Thursday. The Hawkeyes of Iowa will be facing Davidson, while the UNI Panthers will take on the Wyoming Cowboys.

Kevin Calabro and P.J. Carlesimo will have the call from Seattle as the second day of the tournament tips off.
