NIT Semifinal Highlights: Miami 60 – Temple 57

Ja'Quan Newton, Davon ReedNEW YORK, NY – Sheldon McClellan led the way with 16 points and 11 rebounds as Miami rallied from an early deficit to defeat Temple 60-57 in an NIT semifinal at Madison Square Garden.

The Owls led by as many as 11 in the first half, but the Hurricanes cut it to five by halftime.

Temple had a chance to tie the game late, but Quenton DeCosey’s three-pointer was off the mark as Miami held on for the victory. They’ll play the winner of Old Dominion and Stanford in Thursday’s championship game.
