PORTLAND, OR – Rondae Hollis-Jefferson led the second-seeded Arizona Wildcats to a 93-72 victory against the Texas Southern Tigers on Thursday, as Arizona eased comfortably into the big dance. Hollis-Jefferson scored 23 points and grabbed ten rebounds in the win, while the Wildcats also got 22 points from Stanley Johnson and shot over 60% from the field as a team.
Madarious Gibbs led the Tigers with 15 points but even four players scoring in double-digits wasn’t enough for the Tigers to spur the upset.
Wayne Larrivee and Mike Montgomery called the action on Westwood One Sports.
