National Championship Highlights: Providence 4 – Boston 3

BOSTON, MA – Providence scored a pair of goals 2:19 apart in the third period to rally past Boston University for a 4-3 win and the first men’s ice hockey championship in school history.

The Friars trailed 3-2 after two periods, but got a slice of good luck midway through the third when Terriers goalie Matt O’Connor dropped a puck in the crease for the game-tying goal. Brandon Tanev scored the go-ahead goal 2:19 later.
