NEW YORK – Stanford advanced to Thursday night’s NIT Championship Game by beating Old Dominion – but it was far from the laugher that appeared to be on the cards when the Cardinal led 25-4 early in the first half.
The Monarchs of ODU fought all the way back, even taking the lead in the second half, but Stanford rallied to secure a 67-60 win.
Chasson Randle led the way with 24 points, in the process becoming the leading scorer in Stanford history.
Dave Ryan and Kelly Tripucka called the action on Westwood One Sports.
