PHILADELPHIA – Matt Rambo scored four goals as Maryland advanced to the men’s lacrosse national championship game with a hard-fought 12-11 win over local rivals Johns Hopkins on Saturday.

The Terps led 10-7 at the end of the three quarters before the Blue Jays rallied to tie it with three goals to start the fourth. A pair of Rambo tallies made the score 12-10 Maryland, but Hopkins never gave up and had a couple of near-misses late in regulation.

The Terrapins will face the Denver Pioneers in Monday’s title tilt.

Dave Ryan and Mark Dixon called the action on Westwood One Sports.
