OMAHA, NE – Jacob Heyward’s walk-off RBI single kept the Miami Hurricanes alive at the College World Series – and eliminated the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Miami completed a 4-3 as Heyward drove in pinch runner Carl Chester, who entered the game in place of Willie Abreu after Abreu had doubled to lead off the ninth. Heyward also started the scoring for Miami with a two-run home run in the fifth.
The Hurricanes will face Florida in an elimination game on Wednesday, hoping to do better than Saturday when the Gators stomped them 15-3.
Kevin Kugler and John Bishop called the action from TD Ameritrade Park.
