CWS Preview: Interviews with coaches and players

Dansby Swanson VanderbiltOMAHA, NE – For just the third time in College World Series history, the best-of-three championship series will be a rematch from a year ago.

Last June, Vanderbilt got the best of Virginia in an exciting series that went the distance.

What will happen when the Commodores and the Cavaliers get together beginning tonight at TD Ameritrade Park? Time well tell, but history shows Vandy may have the edge. In 2006-2007, Oregon State beat North Carolina both times, and in 1972-73, USC defeated Arizona State in back-to-back years.

Coverage on Westwood One begins tonight at 7:45 PM Eastern and ahead of the game, our broadcast crew of Kevin Kugler and Scott Graham had a chance to sit down with the coaches and a key player from each team – including Vandy’s Dansby Swanson, the top overall pick in this year’s Major League Baseball draft.
