KOHLER, WI – A day after heavy rains softened the course, the winds at Whistling Straits died down – giving the world’s best golfers ideal scoring conditions.
Jason Day fired a six-under par 66 to take the 54-hole lead at a major outright for the first time in his career. Day is -15 heading into Sunday’s final round.
Jordan Spieth was even better than Day, firing a 65 – including a six-under 30 on the back nine. Spieth is two shots back of Day.
