It took longer than most expected, but Tim Brown is finally a Pro Football Hall of Famer.
The Heisman Trophy winner out of Notre Dame spent all but one of his 17 seasons with the Raiders in both Los Angeles and Oakland and holds most of the team’s receiving records. Starting in 1993, Brown began a streak of nine consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.
After a final year with the Tampa Bay Bucs in 2004, Brown had to wait several agonizing years as he didn’t make the cut for the Hall. That changed this year and Tim Brown was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August.
