COLLEGE PARK, MD – Melo Trimble showed why he’s the preseason Player of the Year in the Big Ten, helping Maryland rally from a late deficit to beat Georgetown 75-71 on Tuesday night.
The third-ranked Terrapins trailed 61-56 with just over four minutes to go when Trimble scored five straight points to tie the game. The sophomore guard finished with 24.
Bradley Hayes led the Hoyas with 16 as all five Georgetown starters scored in double figures.
