Interview: Texas coach Shaka Smart talks Longhorns’ seniors, changing styles, bench contributors and more

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Shaka Smart will be leading his new Texas squad into NCAA Tournament battle for the first time on Friday night, when the sixth-seeded Longhorns take on eleventh-seeded Northern Iowa–winners of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament–at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

P.J. Carlesimo and Tom McCarthy caught up with Texas head coach, Shaka Smart, ahead of the game to discuss the Longhorns’ senior class; adjusting styles of play to fit personnel; bench production; and the various challenges he expects Ben Jacobson’s Panthers will present.
