First-Round Highlights: Utah beats Fresno State, 80-69

DENVER – Pac-12 Player of the Year Jakob Poeltl scored 16 points and pulled down a career-high 18 rebounds to lead No. 3-seed Utah past No. 14-seed Fresno State, 80-69 at Pepsi Center.

The Runnin’ Utes led 33-22 at the break and cruised to the win, outrebounding the Bulldogs 38-15. Lorenzo Bonam scored 17 points for Utah, followed by Poeltl, Jordan Loveridge and Brandon Taylor, all with 16. Marvelle Harris scored 24 for Fresno State.
