NCAA South Regional Highlights: High-octane Wildcats race past Miami

LOUISVILLE – Ryan Arcidiacono and Kris Jenkins each scored 21 points to pace No. 2-seed Villanova to a wire-to-wire, 92-69 win over Miami in a South Regional semifinal at KFC Yum! Center. The Wildcats advance to Saturday’s regional final against either Kansas or Maryland.

A balanced Wildcats offense placed four scorers in double figures, shooting 10-of-15 from 3-point range overall. Arcidiacono shot 7-of-11 with four 3-pointers and Jenkins shot 8-of-10 with five 3-pointers and nine rebounds. Daniel Ochefu contributed 17 points and Josh Hart had 14.

The Wildcats shot 63 percent overall, offsetting 53 percent shooting by the Hurricanes who were led by Sheldon McClellan’s five 3-pointers and 26 points.
