LEXINGTON – Kelsey Plum scored 26 points and Chantel Osahor added 24 to lead No. 7-seed Washington to an 85-76 win over No. 4-seed and Pac-12 rival Stanford. The Huskies qualified for the NCAA Final Four for the first time in school history.
With consecutive upsets over No. 2-seed Maryland, No. 3 Kentucky and No. 4 Stanford, the Huskies matched Minnesota in 2004 as the lowest-seeded teams ever to reach the Final Four. Washington will meet Syracuse or Tennessee in a national semifinal game in Indianapolis.
Kevin Lee and Krista Blunk called the action on Westwood One Sports.
