DES MOINES, IA – In a revival of one of the oldest border rivalries in sports–the first meeting since the 2012 South Regional Semifinals–Indiana pulled away late in the second half to beat Kentucky 73-67 and punch their ticket to the Sweet Sixteen.
Thomas Bryant led the fifth-seeded Hoosiers, scoring 17 of his 19 points in the second half, and senior leader Yogi Ferrell complemented with 18 points and 4 assists.
Tyler Ulis led the fourth-seeded Wildcats–and all scorers–with 27 points before fouling out late.
Brandon Gaudin and Mike Montgomery called the action on Westwood One Sports.
