Second Round Highlights: Virginia uses hot-shooting second half to hold off resilient Butler

03/19/2016

RALEIGH, NC – The Cavaliers shook off a cold offensive first half by shooting a laser-hot 73 percent from the field in the second, as top-seeded Virginia defeated ninth-seeded Butler 77-69 and punched its ticket into the Sweet Sixteen.

Malcolm Brogdon poured in 22 points for the ‘Hoos, while Anthony Gill banged his way to 19 points and 8 rebounds.

Junior forward Andrew Chrabascz drained all four of his shots from behind the arc for the Bulldogs on his way to a season-high 25 points.

John Sadak and John Thompson called the action on Westwood One Sports.
