Spokane Preview: Favorites Oregon and Maryland hope to advance


SPOKANE, Wash. – Oregon is a No. 1 seed and No. 5-seed Maryland has been a national favorite since preseason polls were released in November. Each is one win from reaching the NCAA Sweet Sixteen, but St. Joseph’s and Hawaii will have a say in who advances.

Maryland and Hawaii tipoff Sunday’s action in Spokane at 7:10 p.m. ET, with UH seeking just its second NCAA Tournament win ever. Northwest favorite Oregon meets St. Joseph’s in the nightcap at 9:40 p.m.

Kevin Calabro and Dan Dickau will have the call from Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.
