Sweet Sixteen Highlights: North Carolina runs away from Indiana, into Elite Eight

03/26/2016

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Top-seeded North Carolina got out and running early and maintained a comfortable lead the whole game, as they went on to beat fifth-seeded Indiana 101-86 to earn a spot in the Elite Eight for the first time since 2012.

All five Tar Heel starters finished in double figures, led by 21 points from Marcus Paige, as well as twenty points and ten rebounds from big man, Brice Johnson.

Yogi Ferrell carried Tom Crean’s squad with 25 points in what would be his final game in a Hoosier uniform.

UNC will square-off with Notre Dame on Sunday–a re-match of the ACC Tournament Semifinals–for a spot in the Final Four.

Tom McCarthy and John Thompson called the action on Westwood One Sports.
