Women’s Championship Preview: Can the Orange knock off UConn?

04/05/2016

INDIANAPOLIS – Syracuse’s win over Washington in the national semifinals brought the Orange within one win of their first NCAA championship. Similarly, Connecticut’s win over Oregon State in the semis brought the Huskies within a single victory of their fourth straight national title, an NCAA record.

First title, or fourth straight, history will be made and records broken.

Geno Auriemma guides a dynasty-minded UConn club that includes three surefire pro prospect seniors in Breanna Stewart, Morgan Tuck and Moriah Jefferson. Stewart, a Syracuse native, hopes to withstand an unconventional Syracuse team that creates havoc with its defense and record 3-pointer shooter Brianna Butler.

John Sadak, Debbie Antonelli and Krista Blunk will have the call from Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
