SACRAMENTO, CA – Cincinnati shot 63 percent from the field to pull away from Kansas State 75-61 and become the only sixth-seed to advance to the Second Round in the 2017 edition of the NCAA Tournament.
Senior Troy Caupain led the Bearcat attack with 23 points to go along with his seven rebounds.
Forward Wesley Iwundu was the only Wildcat to not have a cold shooting night, as he tried to lift Bruce Weber’s squad with 19 points, coming off of 3-of-5 shooting from the perimeter and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
Jason Benetti and Mike Montgomery called the action on Westwood One Sports.
