First Round Highlights: Louisville shakes off slow start to beat Jacksonville State

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Second-seeded Louisville overcame a sluggish start to hold off fifteenth-seeded Jacksonville State 78-63.

The Gamecocks came out of the gate red-hot, scoring the game’s first eight points, before Rick Pitino’s squad finally settled into a rhythm and pulled away.

“All-Name” First Teamers, Mangok Mathiang and Norbertas Giga, led the Cardinals’ and Gamecocks’ attacks with 18 and 30 points, respectively.

Chris Carrino and Jim Jackson called the action on Westwood One Sports.
