First Round Highlights: Middle Tennessee State snatches first upset over Minnesota 81-72

MILWAUKEE, WI – Twelfth-seeded Middle Tennessee State provided 2017’s first upset of the tournament with an 81-72 win against the fifth-seeded Minnesota Golden Gophers. Reggie Upshaw had 19 points for the Blue Raiders, with Jordan Murphy scoring 15 in the loss for Minnesota.

Brandon Gaudin and Kelly Tripucka called the action on Westwood One Sports.
