First Round Highlights: UCLA races to 97-80 win over Kent State

SACRAMENTO, CA – Third-seeded UCLA did what it does best, scoring early and often to take an early lead and eventually pulling away from fourteenth-seeded Kent State 97-80.

Freshman TJ Leaf led the Bruins with 23 points on an efficient 8-of-shooting effort.

Sophomore Jaylin Walker hit five three-pointers on his way to 23 points, and Jimmy Hall hauled in 15 rebounds to go along with 20 points of his own.

Jason Benetti and Mike Montgomery called the action on Westwood One Sports.
