First Round Highlights: West Virginia outlasts pesky Bucknell 86-80


BUFFALO, NY – It wasn’t easy, but with five players scoring in double figures, fourth-seeded West Virginia was able to hold off thirteenth-seeded Bucknell 86-80.

Senior Tarik Phillip came off the bench to pace the Mountaineers with 16 points, while classmate Nathan Adrian pulled down 10 rebounds to go with his 12 points.

Bison sophomore guard Kimbal Mackenzie led all scorers with 23 points coming off 5-of-7 shooting from long range.

Scott Graham and Donny Marshall called the action on Westwood One Sports.
