NCAA Division II Championship Highlights: Northwest Missouri State captures first national title


SIOUX FALLS, SD – Completing a college sports double that has never been done before in Division II, Northwest Missouri State defeated Fairmont State 71-61 to capture their first men’s basketball title just months after their football team was also crowned Division II champions.

Justin Pitts had 23 points in the win for the Bearcats, while Fairmont State’s Matt Bingaya led all scorers with 24.

Ryan Radtke and Dan Dickau called the action on Westwood One Sports.
