MILWAUKEE, WI – The Bulldogs used a smothering defense to shut down Giddy Potts and the Blue Raiders, as fourth-seeded Butler defeated twelfth-seeded Middle Tennessee State 74-65 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time in six years.
Junior Kelan Martin came off the bench to pour in 19 points for the Bulldogs on 6-of-9 shooting from the field.
Senior JaCorey Williams led the Blue Raiders with 20 points and 9 rebounds in final collegiate game.
