KANSAS CITY, MO – Michigan Senior Derrick Walton, Jr. just missed a game-winning three-point attempt as the clock ran out, preserving a narrow 69-68 Oregon victory and a spot in the Elite Eight for the second year in a row.
The third-seeded Ducks were led by Tyler Dorsey’s 20 points and a double-double from Jordan Bell, who pulled down 13 rebounds to go along with his 16 points.
Walton paced the seventh-seeded Wolverines with 20 points in his final game in the maize and blue.
Tom McCarthy and Will Perdue called the action on Westwood One Sports.
